OASIS Scholarship, meaning Online Application for Scholarship in Studies, is a major scholarship scheme run by the Government of West Bengal. It is especially applicable for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backwards Class (OBC) students whose families are financially weak. OASIS Portal 2025 Objectives
The primary objective of the scholarship is to provide financial support to economically weaker students from the SC, ST, and OBC communities. Its purpose is to ensure that no talented student is forced to leave their studies midway due to poverty and financial difficulties. He can complete his studies from school to higher education without any interruption. This scheme promotes social equality, increases participation in higher education, and helps students from underprivileged backgrounds become self-reliant.
OASIS Scholarship Apply Online
Step 1. First, visit the official Oasis WB Portal at oasis.gov.in.
Step 2. Click on the option “Student’s Registration” and select your category (SC, ST, OBC) and district.
Step 3. Complete the registration form by filling in the required details and submit it.
Step 4. Now, do Oasis Scholarship Login with registration number and password.
Step 5. Fill in personal information, educational details and bank account information in the application form.
Step 6. Scan and upload the required documents (caste certificate, income certificate, residence certificate, mark sheet, photo, etc.).
Step 7. Complete the OTP KYC linked to Aadhaar.
Step 8. After checking all the information, do the final submission.
Step 9. Print the application and submit it to your respective Block/SDO Office or educational institution.
Step 10. Keep tracking the application status on the portal from time to time.
OASIS Scholarship Eligibility 2025
- The applicant must be a permanent resident (Domicile) of West Bengal.
- The person applying must belong to the SC, ST or OBC category.
- For Pre-Matric (SC/ST): Studying in class 9 or 10, and the annual family income should not exceed ₹2 lakh.
- For Post-Matric (SC/ST): Must be studying at Higher Secondary, Graduate, Post Graduate or Higher Education level. Annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- For Post-Matric (OBC): Studying at class 11 or above level and family annual income should not exceed ₹1 lakh.
- All required certificates (caste, income, and residence) must be valid and updated.

OASIS Scholarship Status Check
Step 1. First, visit the official portal oasis gov.
Step 2. Click on the “Track an Application” or “Check Status” option on the homepage.
Step 3. Enter your User ID/Registration Number and Password.
Step 4. After login, the current status of the application is displayed. Such as (Submitted, Under Verification, Approved, Rejected, Payment Processed) will appear on the screen.
Step 5. If the payment is approved, the date of transfer to the bank account through DBT can also be seen.

Pre-Matric Scholarship
- SC/ST (hosteller): ₹7,000 to ₹10,000 per year
- SC/ST (day-scholar): ₹3,500 to ₹4,000 per year
Post-Matric Scholarship
- Oasis Scholarship amount for UG Students (SC/ST Hostellers): ₹12,000 to ₹13,500 per year
