Lakshmir Bhandar is an ambitious social security scheme of the Government of West Bengal, launched by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the year 2021. Under this scheme, women of the general category are given ₹1000 per month. Apart from this, women of the Scheduled Caste/Tribe category are given financial assistance of ₹1200 per month. The scheme aims to empower women economically and contribute to the family income. Women of the state aged 25 to 60 years can avail the benefits. Under the scheme provided they are not holding a government job or receiving a pension.

Online Application for the Scheme

Step 1. Visit the official website of the Government of West Bengal or the Duare Sarkar Portal.

Step 2. Choose the “Laxmir Bhandar” option.

Step 3. Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and bank details.

Step 4. Upload the required documents (PDF/JPEG). Such as Aadhaar card, bank passbook, residence certificate, caste certificate (if applicable).

Step 5. Submit the form and download and save the application number/receipt.

Offline Application for the Scheme

Step 1. Get the application form from the nearest Duare Sarkar Camp, BDO/SDO office or Municipality/Gram Panchayat office.

Step 2. Fill in the personal details in the Lakshmir Bhandar form 2025. Like name, address, bank account details, etc.

Step 3. Attach Aadhaar card, copy of bank passbook, residence certificate and caste certificate (if SC/ST).

Step 4. Submit the form to the concerned office/camp.

Laxmi Bhandar Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Being a woman is mandatory.
• The age limit should generally be between 25 and 60 years.
• The applicant cannot be a government employee, pensioner, or regular salary recipient in any government or local body, etc.
• Often, in the application form or various sources related to this scheme. It is mentioned that it is mandatory to be associated with the Swasthya Sathi Scheme.
